Hi,
you probably use SSL in your SharePoint site and/or kerberos or you try to connect to a site which is behind ISA/forefront - I need to fix these (actually I just made a bunch of updates but mainly for the file upload/download functionality). The whole logic for the web svc bindings is in a single method in the WscHelper class - the method is called GetBindingForSharePoint. For HTTPS you can see this discussion as well - http://splistitemeditor.codeplex.com/discussions/229684

Hi again,
I added two new menu items in the "Options" menu -> "Security mode" and "Credential type". If you use HTTPS you need to select the "Transport" option in the "Security mode" sub-menu. For kerberos you will need to select the "Windows" option in the "Credential type" sub-menu. Basically using the various combinations of these two menu items it should be possible to access all possible authentication configuration for SharePoint.

Hi,
I try get Items from SharePoint 2007 List by Web Services (https) with described options [Security mode > Transport], but following error is displayed (see file attachment).
System.ServiceModel.FaultException: Exception of type Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException was thrown.
.....
Any idea how to resolve this issue?

Hi Andrzej,
Did you try the combination of Security Mode = Transport and Credential Type = Windows (this should work for SSL with Kerberos - if you indeed use that). Let me know if this helps.
